Dental emergency in Montreux
Sudden tooth pain, a broken tooth, a swelling abscess: these are situations that can’t wait. The goal is to relieve you quickly, make an accurate diagnosis and offer you the best solution, immediate or planned.
What the clinic treats in an emergency
Not all emergencies can be resolved in a single visit. Some require multi-step treatment: the clinic tells you clearly from the first consultation.

Situations requiring immediate assessment
A diagnosis before any treatment
Every emergency visit begins with a thorough clinical examination: it’s an accurate diagnosis that allows the right procedure to be chosen.
Once the pain is relieved, the clinic explains what happened and the recommended next step: immediate treatment or care scheduled for the following days.
Digital dentistry for emergencies
In some situations, CEREC technology makes it possible to offer a definitive solution the same day, without a temporary and without a second appointment, particularly for broken or loose crowns when clinically indicated.
Dr Zerguine, who has been using CEREC since 2013, assesses case by case whether this approach is suitable.

Frequently asked questions
Answers to the questions patients ask the clinic most often.
Can I come without an appointment?
The clinic does its best to see emergency patients the same day. A call or WhatsApp message before you come allows it to confirm its availability and organize your visit.
What should I do if I can’t reach the clinic by phone?
Send a WhatsApp message or use the contact form on the clinic’s website.
Are emergencies handled on weekends?
No. Emergency hours are Mondays from 8 AM to 8 PM and Tuesday to Friday from 8 AM to 6 PM. Outside these hours, contact your canton’s on-call dental service. In a life-threatening emergency, call 144.
Is a dental emergency always painful?
No. Some urgent situations, such as an early-stage abscess or a loose crown, are not always painful but require prompt care to avoid complications.
Is emergency care more expensive?
Emergency care is billed according to the current rates. The clinic informs you of the costs before any procedure.
